In high-end AI filmmaking, we don’t edit the visuals to fit the audio; we build the audio foundation first. This “radio edit” acts as the spine of your entire project, dictating the timing of every visual cut.
I. Sourcing Non-Generative & AI Music
The “cool” factor relies heavily on a track that builds tension. You have two primary paths:
- AI Generation: Use Udio or Suno.
Prompt Tip: “Cinematic dark ambient, industrial textures, 80bpm, crescendo at 45 seconds.”
- Curated Libraries: Use Epidemic Sound or Artlist for high-quality, copyright-cleared tracks with stems (allowing you to remove vocals or drums).
II. Layering the “Atmospheric Spine”
Before moving to video, you must layer your elements in an editor like CapCut or Adobe Premiere. This is your Master Audio Track.
The 3-Layer Rule:
1. The Voice: The performance we created in Lesson 1.2.
2. The Bed: The background music, ducked (lowered) by -15dB whenever the voice is speaking.
3. The Texture: Ambient “Room Tone” or “SFX” (e.g., wind howling, city hum, or vinyl crackle) to fill the silences.

III. Visual Mapping (The Script Breakdown)
Now, look at your Master Audio Track and mark the timestamps where the subject changes.
Example:
• 0:00-0:05: Establishment Shot (Wide)
• 0:05-0:12: Character Introduction (Close-up)
IV. Action Steps
- Import your Speech-to-Speech audio into your video editor.
- Find or generate a background track that matches the “vibe” of your script.
- Place “markers” or “cuts” in your timeline every time there is a natural pause in the narration. These markers tell you exactly how many AI video clips you need to generate in Module 3.
